According to a police statement, one of those present threw an object at him, but the object did not hit Bennett. Officers from the Bnei Brak Ramat Gan police station who were at the scene immediately arrested the suspect, and he was taken for questioning. Among those present was right-wing activist Mordechai David, who was recorded shouting at Bennett. The incident occurred against the backdrop of the 2026 Knesset election campaign, in which Bennett is running at the head of his party.
