Environmental Protection Ministry data: The vehicle that rose to the top of the radiation table
The Ministry of Environmental Protection updated its vehicle radiation database: the BYD Sealion 5 plug-in hybrid took first place with 304 milligauss, surpassing the Jaco 7. Two of the seven new models entered the top five. Plug-in hybrid vehicles continue to dominate the top of the table.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection updated its vehicle radiation measurement database, adding seven new models. The BYD Sealion 5 plug-in hybrid rose to first place with a maximum exposure level of 304 milligauss, surpassing the Jaco 7 plug-in hybrid, which now stands at 280 milligauss. The Link&Co 08 plug-in hybrid entered third place with 271 milligauss. Two of the new models entered the top five. The data shows that plug-in hybrid vehicles stand out at the top of the table, while fully electric vehicles are at the bottom. However, the article notes that radiation levels cannot be inferred from the type of propulsion. The Non-Ionizing Radiation Committee recommends a target of up to 4 milligauss for chronic exposure, but this is not a binding standard. The value in the BYD Sealion 5 is 76 times higher than the recommended target.
