Entry from hostile countries and 33 Chinese with fake passports – details

Israel's Population and Immigration Authority has denied rumors of mass entry of crew members from hostile countries. Meanwhile, at the Allenby Crossing, a group of 33 Chinese citizens was detained with forged Japanese passports.

Israel's Population and Immigration Authority issued an official denial of reports about the mass entry of airline crew members from countries with which Israel has no diplomatic relations. The authority stated that statistics about the arrival of approximately 1,200 crew members from hostile countries are inaccurate. Israeli law contains an absolute ban on the entry of citizens of hostile states, applying to everyone, including airline personnel. Earlier, the Kan media corporation reported that since the beginning of the year, over 1,200 airline employees from Syria, Lebanon, and Oman had arrived, amid an investigation into an attempted terror attack on a FlyDubai flight. Simultaneously, at the Allenby Crossing, a group of 33 Chinese citizens (27 men and 6 women) was detained while trying to cross the border with forged Japanese passports. They had previously entered Jordan with genuine Chinese documents. All were denied entry, and the forged documents were confiscated. Over the past day, four people were removed from flights and returned due to forged passports or active entry bans.
