Elon Musk was interviewed by Walter Isaacson and addressed the dangers of uncontrolled immigration, the global jihad threat, and Israel's security policy. Musk said there are cultures with worldviews opposite to those of the West, citing Islam as an example, while emphasizing that many Muslims are reasonable but some are not. He warned that a lack of strict screening of immigrants will lead to jihadists entering and killing people. Musk praised Israel's pragmatic approach to existential threats, noting that Israelis understand well the deadly meaning of opening borders to an enemy. To illustrate his point, Musk recounted an incident at a Tesla factory in Austin, Texas, where a worker who was fired after attacking a female employee who stepped on his prayer mat murdered three students at a local bar.
