A 26-year-old Sri Lankan citizen has been indicted for negligent homicide after driving a forklift while intoxicated and running over another worker, aged 38, also a Sri Lankan citizen, at a factory in Bu'eine-Nujeidat in the Lower Galilee. The indictment was filed this morning (Tuesday) at the Nazareth District Court. The incident occurred on October 14 in the evening. The investigation revealed that the accused, who has no driver's license, was driving outside working hours under the influence of alcohol. Footage from the scene shows workers calling for him to stop, but he continued driving. His attorney argued there was no intent to harm and that the two were close friends.
