An Air India flight AI-2030, en route from Frankfurt to New Delhi, was diverted for an emergency landing at Jaipur International Airport in Rajasthan after an unusual security alert and hijacking concern. Passengers and crew were evacuated safely after landing. According to reports in Indian media, air traffic control in Ahmedabad allegedly received an alert related to squawk code 7500, used to indicate a suspected aircraft hijacking. However, no official confirmation has been received that the code was actually transmitted from the aircraft. After landing, the aircraft was moved to an isolated area, and India's Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), local police, and bomb disposal units began searching the aircraft and passenger luggage. Initially, reports emerged of a bomb threat, but an airport official clarified that the alert concerned a rumor of a possible hijacking. The aircraft carried approximately 250 passengers, a number yet to be officially confirmed. Air India and airport authorities have not yet issued an official statement.
