"Do Not Cross the Red Line": The Harsh Letter to Eisenkot
Dozens of members of the 'IDF Disabled Veterans Forum for Israel's Security' sent a harsh letter to Yashar chairman Gadi Eisenkot, demanding that he not form a government with the support of the Arab parties. In the letter, they recalled the fall of his son Gal, may his memory be blessed, and called on him: "Do not cross this dangerous red line."
Dozens of members of the 'IDF Disabled Veterans Forum for Israel's Security' turned today (Wednesday) to the chairman of the Yashar party, retired Major General Gadi Eisenkot, in a harsh letter in which they demanded that he not form a government with direct or indirect support from the Arab parties. The letter was signed by the forum's chairman, Liran Baruch, and dozens of its members. In the letter, the signatories attacked the positions of the Arab lists, which they say oppose Zionism and seek to change Israel's national character. They reminded Eisenkot of his son, Staff Sergeant (res.) Gal Meir Eisenkot, may his memory be blessed, who fell in Gaza, and called on him: "Do not cross this dangerous red line and do not rely on anti-Zionist, terror-supporting lists." The forum asked how Eisenkot could look into the eyes of soldiers who sacrificed their bodies for the state if he acts this way, and called on him to withdraw from the move.
