Chairman of the "Together" party Naftali Bennett recounted in a post on X about a meeting he held with young Haredi men in a sukkah in Bnei Brak during the Sukkot holiday. Bennett clarified to them that he will lead a move to zero-funding for those who do not serve in the IDF and do not teach Zionism and core subjects, emphasizing that this will be done first and foremost for the Haredi society. According to him, "If 1.5 million Haredim continue to be educated against the IDF, against democracy, and without English and math - the IDF and the economy will collapse." Bennett said he spoke late into the night with the visitors, listened to the difficulties they raised regarding integration into the army and the personal and environmental costs required of them. The meeting comes against the backdrop of a slump in polls for the "Together" party, which stands at only 10 seats compared to 25 at its launch in April.
