Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday under heavy police guard and performed prayers at the Western Wall on the eve of the general Knesset elections scheduled for Tuesday. The Jerusalem Governorate said Ben Gvir stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque accompanied by far-right Knesset member Moshe Feiglin. Local sources reported that Ben Gvir entered the mosque amid tight security measures and performed prayers at the Western Wall. A circulating image showed Ben Gvir surrounded by police and Israeli special units during his incursion into the mosque courtyards. The incursion comes amid ongoing Israeli violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque and repeated incursions by Ben Gvir, alongside his positions calling for expanding Jewish prayers within its courtyards.
