Air disaster in Congo: 17 people killed in plane crash

According to the local Ministry of Transport, 13 passengers and four crew members were killed. Among the deceased: Joseph Mutombo, who headed the Supreme Military Court, and Lucien-René Likulia, the Attorney General of the Armed Forces, both holding the rank of Lieutenant General. The crash occurred on Friday near the city of Kenga in Kwango Province, more than 200 kilometers east of the capital Kinshasa. Congolese President Félix Tshisekedi ordered an investigation to determine the circumstances of the crash.
