In the northern West Bank, dozens of power demonstrations by Religious Zionism are planned, expected to draw tens of thousands of visitors, and in the area of the Judea Brigade in southern Judea and Samaria, mass events are expected with about one hundred thousand visitors. The IDF fears friction incidents and right-wing actions against Palestinians. Today, the headquarters of Division 98 will begin operating, taking responsibility for the area south of Jerusalem. The IDF has reinforced forces in Judea and Samaria, and in addition to the 23 battalions already active, forces from Lebanon and Gaza have been brought in, including Egoz reconnaissance unit fighters who finished fighting on the Ali Taher ridge.
