Activists detained on suspicion of attacking settlers in Samaria

Brigadier General (res.) Yoel Feldshu and another activist were detained on suspicion of confronting settlers in the Palestinian village of Duma. Police received a report of an attack on a shepherd. The movement "Commanders for Israel's Security" claims that the detainees were protecting Arab women from an attack by Jewish activists.

Brigadier General (res.) Yoel Feldshu and another person were detained on suspicion of confronting settlers in the Palestinian village of Duma in the Nablus area. Police reported receiving a report of an attack on a shepherd in the area. The movement "Commanders for Israel's Security" (מפקדים למען ביטחון ישראל), of which Feldshu is a member, presented its version of events: a group of former senior security officials arrived to participate in olive harvesting in the village of Duma. During the harvest, Jewish terrorist activists appeared and attacked Arab women. The group members stood up to protect the women and prevent the attack. According to the movement, instead of arresting the attackers, the forces detained Feldshu and another activist. The article presents two versions of the incident—the police version and the movement's version—without favoring either.
