Accidental discharge in a home in Yavne: 28-year-old seriously wounded by gunfire from his brother

A resident of Yavne in his twenties was seriously wounded by an accidental discharge at his home. The weapon, institutionally licensed to his brother who works as a security guard, discharged and struck him. The injured man was evacuated to Assuta. Police are investigating.

A 28-year-old resident of Yavne was seriously wounded by an accidental discharge at his home. The incident occurred when his brother, a 21-year-old security guard at an educational institution, discharged his institutional weapon (licensed), which struck his brother. The injured man was evacuated to Assuta Medical Center. Officers from the Yavne police station opened an investigation and are collecting evidence from the scene. The weapon is legally held as part of the security guard brother's role. The background to the incident is apparently an accidental discharge.
