"15 mandates will be counted late": Election Committee prepares for delay in arrival of true results

The Central Elections Committee is preparing for a delay in publishing the true results, amid an expected surge in the number of double envelopes to 650,000 – a 44% increase compared to the previous elections. About 200,000 new citizens are expected to vote in double envelopes, partly due to the high rate of reservists and evacuees. In a closed meeting of senior committee officials, preparations were discussed for approximately 650,000 double envelopes – a 44% increase compared to the previous elections. About 200,000 new Israeli citizens are expected to vote in double envelopes, partly due to the expected high rate of reservists and evacuees among voters. The committee is working to recruit additional workers to count the envelopes, which together represent about 15 mandates that will be counted late and will slightly delay the arrival of the true results. Additionally, the Elections Committee updated that after a discussion and vote, the plenum approved 38 candidate lists for the 26th Knesset and the letters assigned to them.
