Zion Amir: 'A serious journalist, a close friend, stopped talking to me'

Attorney Zion Amir, identified as a Netanyahu supporter, told the 'Asaneim' program on Channel 13 that a senior journalist, who according to Walla Culture is Guy Peleg from Channel 12, stopped talking to him because he is a Bibist. Amir described a 20-year friendship that ended, and Peleg chose not to respond.

Attorney Zion Amir, identified as a supporter of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, told the 'Asaneim' program on Channel 13 that a senior journalist, who according to Walla Culture is Guy Peleg from Channel 12, stopped talking to him because he is a Bibist. In the interview, which will air tonight (Thursday) at 21:15, Amir was asked by Omri Asaneim, 'What prices do you pay in your milieu for being a Bibist?' Amir replied that a 'very, very serious' journalist, a close friend of 20 years, 'I shouldn't say his name,' stopped talking to him. He described: 'He came to me and said, that's it, Zion, I don't want to talk to you anymore. For 20 years we've been spending time, eating together, drinking together, at least once or twice a week. At all my celebrations, he sat shiva with me more than once. He doesn't talk.' Amir added: 'Is there a price? Yes. But, as Humphrey Bogart said it: Darling, frankly, I don't give a damn. It's one big disgust. This pathetic condescension that has nothing behind it.' Asaneim asked if it was Guy Peleg; Amir neither confirmed nor denied, but Walla Culture learned that it is Peleg. Peleg chose not to respond.
