Yuval, 27, from Beit Dagan, was supposed to marry his fiancée Timor next year. His family shares the pain of hundreds of messages from his soldiers and tells of a respected commander who left his mark.

Major Yuval Ezra, a battery commander in Battalion 411 of the Artillery Corps, was killed yesterday (Friday) by terrorist fire near the village of Tel in the Nablus area. Yuval, 27, from Beit Dagan, was on a weekend leave at home but was called back to the sector due to tensions in Judea and Samaria. He arrived to separate a clash that broke out between Israeli hikers from the 'David and Achikam Hikers' group and Palestinians, and during the incident was shot dead. In the same incident, Binyahu Malet, a member of the emergency response team of the Gilad Farm, was also killed. Yuval was supposed to marry his fiancée Timor Lavi next year, and the couple set a wedding date: June 9, 2027. His family tells of a respected commander who left his mark on his subordinates, and of hundreds of messages they have received from his soldiers since his fall. Yuval fought in Be'eri on October 7 and later in the maneuver in Gaza. His funeral will take place on Sunday at 17:00 in the military section of the Beit Dagan cemetery. The family is not currently occupied with the circumstances of the incident and will wait for the final military investigation.
