Young man sues former lawyer for NIS 150,000, claims signature forged

A young man from Petah Tikva is suing his former lawyer for NIS 150,000, alleging that the lawyer held NIS 82,000 of his compensation funds for over a year, refused to transfer them, and forged his signature on an additional settlement document. A young man from Petah Tikva has filed a lawsuit for NIS 150,000 against his former lawyer, claiming that the lawyer held NIS 82,000 of compensation funds he received for him under a settlement agreement in a personal injury claim, and refused to transfer them for over a year. It is further alleged that the young man's signature was forged on an additional settlement document that was not presented to him. The lawsuit, filed through attorney Talia Barzani, is based on the fact that the funds were transferred to the lawyer's trust account shortly after signing the agreement but were not released to the client. The young man filed complaints with the police and the Israel Bar Association. The lawyer continues to practice and his license has not been suspended. The lawsuit demands the return of the funds plus interest and linkage, compensation for mental anguish, and legal costs. No defense has been filed yet.
