Iman Jarramaneh (20) was shot to death this morning (Thursday) in the town of Muqeible in the Gilboa Regional Council. Around 6 a.m., a report was received at MDA's 101 hotline about a young man wounded by gunfire. MDA paramedic Mordechai Dedashvili and MDA medic Yossi Akrish said they saw the victim unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing, with severe gunshot wounds to his body. They provided advanced medical treatment including prolonged resuscitation and evacuated him to the hospital in critical condition, where his death was determined. The police reported that officers were dispatched to the scene, began searches for suspects, and opened an investigation into the circumstances. Since the beginning of the year, 158 people have been murdered in the Arab community. Last night, Ziad Bashara (57) was murdered in Tayibe, allegedly as part of a blood feud. His wife, Susan Abd al-Qader Bashara (51), was shot to death in Tira at the end of April last year. The last murder in the open, of Ammar al-Qara'an from Kseifa last Friday, interrupted a streak of 20 days without a criminal murder in the Arab community, the first in 4 years. Enforcement agencies attributed the decline to a combination of extensive police deployment and internal reconciliation efforts, including reconciliations between rival families.
