Yona Elian Keshet and Muli Lahad: Recipients of the President's Award for 2026 Announced

President Isaac Herzog announced 11 recipients of the President's Award for 2026, including actress Yona Elian Keshet, psychologist Prof. Muli Lahad, former minister Moshe Nissim, chairman of the Organization for Victims of Hostile Acts Avi Moses, and Rabbi Haim Sabato. The award is given to those who have made an outstanding contribution to the State of Israel or humanity.

President Isaac Herzog announced 11 recipients of the President's Award for 2026, including actress and chair of the Israel Artists Union Yona Elian Keshet, psychologist Prof. Muli Lahad, former minister Moshe Nissim, chairman of the Organization for Victims of Hostile Acts Avi Moses, Rabbi Haim Sabato, musician Yehuda Adar, Prof. Uriel Reichman, Prof. Heftsiba Lifshitz, Prof. Yossi Leshem, Prof. Hussam Haik, and social activist Ziva Makonen. The award has been given since 2012 at the initiative of President Shimon Peres, to those who have made an outstanding contribution to the State of Israel or humanity. President Herzog spoke personally with each winner and said they embody the values of giving and mutual responsibility. Avi Moses, who was severely injured in a 1987 attack, responded that he receives the news alongside 250 students who lost their loved ones in Israel's campaigns. Yehuda Adar, founder of the Rimon School of Music, said he believed in the power of music to connect people.
