Yisrael Beiteinu files complaint with CEC against Likud over AI fake

Yisrael Beiteinu filed a complaint with the Central Elections Committee against Likud and Netanyahu for spreading an AI-generated fake image depicting Liberman and Abbas. The complaint was filed by attorney Eitan Haberman. The party demands the removal of the publication, citing a violation of the law requiring disclosure of AI use. A previous request for removal was ignored.

The Yisrael Beiteinu party filed a complaint with the Central Elections Committee against Benjamin Netanyahu and Likud for spreading an AI-generated fake on social media. The complaint was filed on behalf of the party by attorney Eitan Haberman. It concerns a misleading publication containing an image created using artificial intelligence, showing party chairman and Knesset member Avigdor Liberman alongside Ra'am chairman Mansour Abbas, with a false caption: "There are things that cannot be hidden." The complaint notes that this is a serious violation of the amendment to the Elections Law requiring clear disclosure of AI use in publications. Previously, Yisrael Beiteinu had already approached Likud demanding the removal of the publication, but according to the party, no response was received. Yisrael Beiteinu demands that the CEC order the immediate removal of the fake from all platforms and accounts under the control of Likud and Benjamin Netanyahu.
