Yisrael Beiteinu expands: Yonatan Yakobovich joins Avigdor Liberman
Attorney Yonatan Yakobovich, a former Herzliya city council member from the National Unity party, joins Yisrael Beiteinu and expresses support for Avigdor Liberman, whom he calls "the leader Israel needs at this time." The joining comes about two weeks after Lily Ben Ami's joining the party.
Attorney Yonatan Yakobovich, who served as a member of the Herzliya city council on behalf of the National Unity party, joins the Yisrael Beiteinu party and expresses support for the party chairman, MK Avigdor Liberman. Yakobovich is a lawyer in the commercial-civil field, an entrepreneur, and a business development manager with about 15 years of experience in law, business, and public activity. He founded and led companies, engaged in business development and leading deals in technology, infrastructure, and real estate, and worked with local authorities and public bodies. He leads environmental struggles and serves as a representative of the surfing community on national planning committees, and is among the initiators of the "City Without Plastic" program. In a message he delivered, Yakobovich said he chose to join Yisrael Beiteinu and Liberman "because he is the leader Israel needs at this time - strong, experienced, with a clear worldview and the courage to make decisions and stand behind them." He expressed belief in Liberman's way: "Security without compromise, true equality in the burden, and the principle of 'live and let live' - a Jewish state that respects tradition, alongside the freedom of every person to live according to their own path, without coercion." The joining comes about two weeks after Lily Ben Ami, founder of the Michal Sela Forum, joined Yisrael Beiteinu. Ben Ami, the sister of the late Michal Sela, who was murdered in 2019, is a manager and entrepreneur in the fields of personal security, innovation, and education.
