Yashar candidate attacks Kisch: "Knows how to read data less well than the students"

Netali Shem-Tov, a candidate for the Yashar party led by Ofer Winter, harshly attacked Education Minister Yoav Kisch today (Tuesday). The attack came following the publication of PISA test results, which showed a sharp decline in Israeli students' achievements: within three years, scores dropped by 38 points in reading, 25 points in mathematics, and 23 points in science. According to Shem-Tov, instead of addressing the educational crisis, Kisch chose to express concern about the establishment of a new right-wing party and wasted votes. "I heard Minister Yoav Kisch say he is very, very concerned, and I naively thought: oh, here is a minister who is finally taking responsibility for the situation and will surely talk about the PISA test results," she said. "But no, Yoav did not like that a new party was formed to offer an alternative on the right." She concluded with a direct call to the minister: "Before you educate the smart right-wing voters, take care of my children." Education Minister Kisch attributed the results, among other things, to the effects of the war on the education system.
