Yair Netanyahu opens front against Ofer Winter and Yosef Haddad: 'No other scenario'
Yair Netanyahu, the prime minister's son, harshly attacked the new party of Brig. Gen. (res.) Ofer Winter, "Amcha Yisrael," and claimed that its independent run would lead to the loss of the right-wing bloc in the elections and the formation of a government led by Gadi Eisenkot, Yair Golan, and Mansour Abbas. In his remarks, he presented three mathematical scenarios, according to him, and compared the move to the Tehiya party, which he said led to the Rabin government and the Oslo disaster.
Yair Netanyahu, the son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, launched a sharp political attack against the new party launched by Brig. Gen. (res.) Ofer Winter, "Amcha Yisrael," and against Yosef Haddad, a hasbara activist close to Winter. In statements he published, Netanyahu claimed that an independent run by Winter would inevitably lead to the loss of the right-wing bloc in the upcoming elections. He presented three mathematical scenarios that he said are the only possibilities: Winter does not pass the electoral threshold and wastes votes; Winter passes but brings Smotrich below the threshold; or both fail to pass. In all three scenarios, he said, the result would be a unity government led by Gadi Eisenkot, Yair Golan, and Mansour Abbas. Netanyahu compared the move to the Tehiya party, which he said caused the formation of the Rabin government and the Oslo disaster. The remarks were published after the launch of Winter's party, where he delivered a tough speech against the political status quo and called for changes in the security system, integration of Haredim into the IDF, and fighting crime.
