Golan expressed deep appreciation for Zangauker, who has become a symbol of a brave and determined struggle for the return of the hostages, but emphasized that the party he leads is proud of the list chosen democratically by 113,000 party members. He noted that the list will lead the struggle to replace the government and rehabilitate Israel, and will be committed to establishing a state commission of inquiry. The party's primaries concluded with a high voter turnout of 86 percent, with more than 97,000 registered members voting online in the secure digital system. The elections opened this morning with more than 112,000 eligible voters, out of 51 candidates. The structure of the list was determined according to the party's bylaws: Golan was reserved the first place, and from the second place the list was determined by the voting results with gender alternation. Meretz was reserved places 6, 8, and 14, and representatives of the rural sector and minorities were reserved places 12 and 13.
