Yair Golan: Ignoring Jewish Terror Is Irresponsible Policy

Yair Golan, leader of the Democrats party, criticized the government at a national security conference for ignoring Jewish terror and illegal outposts in Judea and Samaria, calling it an irresponsible policy. He called for a political settlement and separation from the Palestinians.

Yair Golan, leader of the Democrats party, spoke at a national security conference organized by Yedioth Ahronoth and INSS. In his speech, he sharply criticized the current government for ignoring the wave of Jewish terror in Judea and Samaria. Golan stated that the government is creating a dangerous reality for IDF soldiers, police officers, and Israeli citizens by turning a blind eye to over 100 illegal outposts that have multiplied 'like mushrooms after the rain.' He called such policy irresponsible and urged Israel to demonstrate a desire for political settlement, not just the use of brute force. Regarding a Palestinian state, Golan noted that it is too early to define borders, but in principle, like Ariel Sharon, he believes it is necessary to separate from the Palestinians, as the alternative of annexation is unbearable.
