A heated confrontation took place today (Tuesday) in the Knesset Finance Committee between its chairman, MK Hanok Milbitsky, and MK Naama Lazimi, after left-wing activists burst into the discussion and protested the transfer of funds to settlements, which they said are intended for settler terrorism. One of the protesters shouted at Milbitsky: "How are you not ashamed to take our money for settler terrorism? Money that goes to burn villages and fields?" In response, Milbitsky retorted sharply: "Take your feet and hands off before you talk about settlers! Shame! Disgust! Yuck!" MK Yinon Azoulay (Shas) added from the side: "These are the ones doing the biggest terrorism." Milbitsky continued: "These are worse than the Nukhba and the terrorists. A mixed multitude." Lazimi replied: "Are you sure that's worse than the Nukhba? Are you sure? Normalizing Hamas! Everyone is worse than the Nukhba for you, because you normalized them and funded them! 'Hamas is an asset' to the end for you!" The confrontation escalated when Milbitsky said that "there is no such thing as Jewish terrorism," and Lazimi responded: "Is the burning of the Dawabsha family not Jewish terrorism?" Milbitsky hurled at her that she "hates Judaism" and asked "What do you have to do with Judaism?", and Lazimi replied: "What do you have to do with Judaism? You are suspected of rape." Subsequently, Lazimi was removed from the discussion after she repeated that there is Jewish terrorism, and before her removal she turned to the committee's legal adviser asking her to prevent the decision.
