On Monday, August 10, senior representatives of the World Council refuted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's statement that Israel rejects the 15-point plan for Gaza. In a conversation with Ynet, they said: "We assess real actions, not words and declarations. In practice, Israel has ceased targeted killings and is observing the ceasefire." According to sources, the IDF is actually positioned on the original yellow line—this is 53% of the territory of the sector, and there are no positions beyond it. They added that it would be better for Israel if its statements matched its actions, as it would then gain a political advantage. In October 2025, Israel agreed to a 20-point plan announced by US President Donald Trump, which included the release of hostages, a ceasefire, and the entry of humanitarian aid. However, now the Israeli leadership has rejected the specific 15-point plan of the World Council, which entails the disarmament of terrorist organizations and a full withdrawal of troops. In Netanyahu's statement, it is emphasized: "There will be no withdrawal of the IDF until Hamas is disarmed." The document also calls on Israel to fulfill its obligations under the Sharm el-Sheikh agreements, including the cessation of military operations.
