Woman saved from death thanks to husband holding her upside down by the legs

A man in Indiana held his wife upside down by her legs in the ER after her pacemaker wire disconnected. The position prevented collapse until medical repair.

A man named Jason from Indiana arrived at the ER holding his wife Mary, in her 60s, upside down by her legs. Two days earlier, she had received a pacemaker implant due to severe heart problems. After being discharged, she coughed and collapsed, and every attempt to sit or lie down caused loss of consciousness. In the ER, when the doctor asked to lay her down, her heart rate dropped and the monitor showed a flat line. Jason lifted her again by her legs and her heart rate returned. It turned out the pacemaker wire had disconnected, and the upside-down position temporarily reconnected it. Mary underwent surgery to secure the wire and was discharged the next day.
