Woman in her 20s arrested on suspicion of impersonating a man and having relationships with women

A woman in her 20s was arrested in Petah Tikva on suspicion of impersonating a man and conducting romantic and sexual relationships with women, mainly by phone and online. Five women claim to have been affected, four of whom contacted the police. The suspect will be brought to court tomorrow for a request to extend her remand and publish her name.

A woman in her 20s was arrested today (Sunday) at her apartment in Petah Tikva, on suspicion of impersonating a man and conducting romantic and sexual relationships with women, mainly through phone calls and online. The investigation began on July 26, after four women came to the police and reported a similar pattern. During the investigation, investigators located another woman, bringing the number of women known to the police to five. In a search of her home, laptops, a mobile phone, and digital storage devices were seized. Tomorrow, the suspect will be brought to court, where the police will request to extend her remand and allow the publication of her name, in order to locate additional victims.
