Former Iranian Economy Minister Ahmad Khandouzi warns that within a month, Iran is expected to face civil revolt and war, against the backdrop of a severe economic crisis, American sanctions, and the conflict in the Strait of Hormuz.
Former Iranian Economy Minister Ahmad Khandouzi issued a grave warning to the Iranian regime, claiming that internal and external instability has reached a boiling point. According to him, within a month both civil revolt and war are expected. Khandouzi, who served under President Raisi, warned that plans to raise fuel and energy prices would reignite unrest. His remarks come amid a prolonged economic crisis, American sanctions imposed by President Trump, and the campaign in the Strait of Hormuz that is harming oil exports. Meanwhile, renewed mediation efforts by Pakistan to bring the US and Iran back to the negotiating table were reported. Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf also published a grave warning about the link between economic distress and the regime's ability to survive, and President Pezeshkian admitted that revenues have declined.
