With Eisenkot, Israel can defeat Iran, ex-Mossad official and Yashar list member Bachar says

Former Mossad and Shin Bet official Dvora Sharifian Bachar, a candidate on Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar party list, stated that Israel can defeat Iran under an Eisenkot-led government. Bachar, who was smuggled out of Iran by the Mossad as a child, received the 14th spot on the Yashar slate and is well-positioned to enter the Knesset based on recent polls projecting around 23 seats for the party.

Former Mossad and Shin Bet official Dvora Sharifian Bachar, now a candidate on Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar party list, stated that Israel can defeat Iran under an Eisenkot-led government, though she acknowledged there is still significant work to be done in this area. Bachar made the comments at Yashar's Knesset slate unveiling in Rosh Ha'ayin on Monday, a day before the deadline for parties to submit their final candidate lists. She received the 14th spot on the slate, and with recent polls projecting Yashar to win around 23 seats, she is well-positioned to enter the next Knesset. Bachar, 44, was born in Tehran several years after the 1979 Islamic Revolution. When she was seven, the Mossad covertly smuggled her and her family out of Iran and brought them to Israel. She served as a field operative in the Shin Bet before moving to the Mossad for a 22-year career in security. Now on Eisenkot's list, Bachar believes her party is well-positioned to triumph in the October elections and "make Israel great again." Beyond focusing on Iran and national security, she also plans to work on education, having worked as a teacher for five years teaching Persian, intelligence, and defense in high schools. Eisenkot's Yashar party has led most recent polls and is part of the opposition bloc seeking to replace Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
