IDF forces patrolling in southern Lebanon uncovered weapons and terror infrastructure, as well as a postcard from Hezbollah's 'Mahdi' publishing house featuring a picture of Ali Khamenei. The publishing house is used to spread ideological content and hatred of Israel among youth.
IDF forces patrolling in southern Lebanon, in villages and towns under IDF operational control, uncovered weapons and terror infrastructure, but also a postcard produced by Hezbollah's 'Mahdi' publishing house. On the back of the postcard, printed on high-quality paper, appears the image of the former Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, who was eliminated in the opening strike of Operation 'Roar of the Lion'. The 'Mahdi' publishing house belongs to the 'Imam al-Mahdi Scouts' youth movement, which operates within Hezbollah and serves as an educational-social arm for shaping the organization's future generation. The movement has tens of thousands of members, mainly in Shia strongholds in southern Lebanon, the Beqaa Valley, the Dahieh district, and Beirut. According to knowledge centers, the movement combines ideological indoctrination and militarism, and fosters a culture of resistance to Israel and the US to the point of hatred from a young age, including encouraging martyrdom (shahada). The publishing house distributes newspapers and magazines portraying Hezbollah fighters as heroes and Israel as an enemy. The movement acts as a tool for brainwashing and early recruitment of activists, the most prominent of whom move on to the organization's units.
