Senior INSS researcher Danny Citrinowicz said in an interview with 103FM that the US strategy against Iran has reached a dead end. According to him, President Trump stopped a large-scale expansion of the military campaign at the last moment due to operational constraints and strategic stalemate. The expert highlighted two main problems: a non-working strategy and a serious shortage of interceptors and offensive weapons. He cited publications in the New York Times and Washington Post indicating a shortage of interceptors. The US even canceled a major deal to sell Tomahawk missiles to Japan due to weapons shortages. Citrinowicz noted that the parties have reached a turning point: either a return to negotiations or sharp escalation. Amid progress in talks between Oman and Iran, the US is freezing plans to expand combat operations.
