Weapons shipment to crime organization foiled: grenades and pistols seized in Tel Aviv

During an operation conducted this morning in southern Tel Aviv, a suspect in his 30s was arrested, and at his home were seized two standard IDF fragmentation grenades, two 9mm Beretta pistols, and ammunition. The search was conducted under a court order, as part of the fight against serious and organized crime. The suspect, a Tel Aviv resident, was arrested and transferred for questioning, and later today he will be brought to the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court for a hearing on extending his detention. Police stated that according to suspicion, the weapons were intended for criminal use in a conflict between crime organizations, and that their seizure allegedly prevented possible harm to human life.
