WATCH: Over 30 arrested in crackdown on smuggling of illegal West Bank immigrants

The IDF and Israeli police conducted large-scale operations in the West Bank on Sunday, arresting over 30 wanted individuals suspected of involvement in smuggling illegal immigrants into Israel. Searches were carried out in Tulkarm, Kalkilya, Shweika, and other villages. Separately, 11 illegal immigrants were arrested after attempting to breach a border checkpoint near Jerusalem; the driver fled and is being hunted. The Ephraim Brigade Commander stated that targeting smuggling rings is key to preventing potential terrorist attacks.
