A man in his 40s was stabbed today (Sunday) in the industrial zone of Be'er Sheva and sustained serious injuries. MDA teams called to the scene provided initial medical treatment and evacuated him to Soroka Medical Center, where he was transferred to the emergency department. MDA paramedic Eliya Yifrach said the man was lying on the ground fully conscious and suffering from a severe penetrating injury. Police investigators who arrived at the scene began searching for suspects, collected findings and evidence, and took testimonies from people present in the area. The stabbing occurred a day after Shkelim was confirmed shot to death in Netivot, in an incident where another person was lightly injured. Meanwhile, police today arrested two people in Ashkelon on suspicion of involvement in a stabbing incident that occurred yesterday in the city, in which a man was seriously injured. The injured person was evacuated to Barzilai Medical Center, and police opened an investigation and searches for those involved. The two arrested suspects are expected to be brought later to a hearing on extending their detention at the Magistrate's Court in Ashkelon.
