The goal is to storm fortified underground complexes in Fordow and Isfahan, overcome minefields, and evacuate radioactive materials. Joseph Rogers, deputy director of the Center for Strategic and International Studies, notes that negotiations are progressing too slowly, making the forceful method increasingly likely. Uranium stockpiles, according to the IAEA, have exceeded nine tons. However, Tehran is actively preparing to repel the raid: Iranian forces have mined approaches and tunnels, and strengthened base security, depriving the US of the element of surprise.
