US: Man kills five people, including his girlfriend and her family - then commits suicide

Benjamin Charles Parker, 36, is suspected of murdering five people in a rural home in Oregon before taking his own life. Among the victims: his 26-year-old girlfriend, her 60-year-old mother, and her 85-year-old grandmother. His body was found about 300 km from the scene.

Benjamin Charles Parker, 36, is suspected of murdering five people in a rural home outside Portland, Oregon, before taking his own life. The victims include his girlfriend Stella Jade Kimsey, 26; her mother Rowan Carla Kimsey, 60; her grandmother Mary Elizabeth Kimsey, 85; Stella's close friend Lynsey Mae Haralson, 26; and her partner Alvin Raymond Cho, 27. Parker's body was found in his car in Enumclaw, Washington, about 301 kilometers north of the murder scene in Forest Grove. Authorities said Rowan Kimsey owned the home and lived there with her daughter Stella and Parker. The household pets also did not survive: two cats and two dogs were found dead, and another cat was euthanized due to the severity of its injuries. The five bodies were found on Saturday, and an investigation was opened on Sunday. Sheriff Caprice Massey said she had not been involved in such a complex scene in her 22 years on the job.
