US Bans Government Employees from Traveling to West Bank Due to Security Concerns

The US Embassy has imposed temporary restrictions on private travel by government employees and their families to Judea and Samaria due to heightened security concerns. The United States Embassy in Israel announced today (Monday) the imposition of temporary restrictions on private travel by all US government employees and their families to Judea and Samaria, citing "heightened security concerns and increased instability in the region." The restriction will remain in effect until Wednesday unless extended or canceled. The decision comes amid a significant security escalation in recent days. Just two days ago, an unusual incident occurred near the farm in Susiya in the southern Hebron Hills, during which a Palestinian stole a weapon from a soldier, wounded a farmer with a stone, and fired at a nearby farm. The weapon was located and the suspect was captured after a manhunt. Meanwhile, security forces arrested more than 70 wanted individuals in a large-scale operation across Judea and Samaria, focusing on the village of Tel in Samaria, the residence of the terrorist who carried out the shooting attack on Friday. During the operation, suspects affiliated with Hamas were arrested, a hunting rifle was seized, and attack plots were foiled.
