Up to $100,000 a month: How Trump plans to profit from his posts
Trump Media & Technology Group's stock surged 48% from its June low ahead of the launch of a new data service called Truth API, costing up to $100,000 per month. The service targets Wall Street trading firms, providing real-time access to Trump's posts. The rally added $600 million to Trump's personal fortune, despite the company's massive losses.
Shares of Donald Trump's media company rose sharply by 5.5% on Thursday to $10.39, completing a surge of about 48% from the June low when it traded below $7. The rise comes ahead of the launch of a new data service called Truth API, set to debut on August 1 and costing up to $100,000 per month. The service targets financial and trading firms on Wall Street, providing real-time access to posts from leading accounts on Truth Social, especially Trump's own, whose posts on topics like war with Iran or tariffs tend to move markets. The stock surge contributed to a $600 million increase in Trump's personal wealth, now estimated at $6.5 billion. However, the stock is still down 21.9% year-to-date. The company reported a loss of $712 million in 2025, with annual revenue of only $3.7 million from advertising. The market is waiting to see if the new service can attract clients among major financial institutions.
