Lachish District traffic police officers arrested a disqualified driver in Ashkelon who was caught driving for the third time while under suspension. The driver, a city resident, was driving despite a court-ordered suspension until the end of proceedings in a previous case involving driving under the influence of drugs. His driving license expired on May 1, 2001. During the arrest, he provided a urine sample that tested positive for cocaine – the fourth time he has been caught driving under the influence of drugs. In two previous cases, indictments had already been filed against him. Additionally, he is performing community service as part of a criminal case for drug possession not for personal use. At the end of the investigation, an indictment was filed through the Traffic Prosecution Unit, and the vehicle owner was summoned for a hearing.
