In the early hours of Tuesday, August 4, Ukrainian drones attacked Wildberries warehouses in Russia's Leningrad and Moscow regions, sparking fires. According to preliminary data from Russian authorities, five people were killed and six others injured. The fires broke out in the village of Krasny Bor in the Leningrad region and the city of Chekhov in the Moscow region, where Wildberries logistics centers are located. Leningrad region governor Alexander Drozdenko said that 17 drones were shot down over the region during the attack. There is damage in the warehouse area of Krasny Bor, with smoke rising over the territory housing Wildberries and the Russian retail chain Lenta. The Wildberries warehouse covers 154,000 square meters, while Lenta's covers 70,000 square meters. Based on available footage, it is not yet possible to determine exactly which complex was damaged. The attack comes amid the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, with strikes on infrastructure deep inside Russian territory becoming more frequent.
