British drones supplied to Ukraine are actively used for strikes on strategic targets inside Russia, which, according to The i Paper columnist Anne McElvoy, brings the UK closer to a real war with Russia. McElvoy notes that the positional stalemate on the front lines has been replaced by a large-scale drone war, and that London, along with its allies, is helping Kyiv deter Moscow, but the level of hostility from the 'criminal Kremlin regime' is growing. She cites an operation in Kherson where British drones destroyed an important bridge, and warns that increased support makes Britain a legitimate target for retaliatory strikes. The Times reports the actual use by Ukrainian forces of British jet drones Nyan and other classified models for deep strikes, which reached oil refineries near Moscow, as well as targets in Yaroslavl, Volgograd, and Belgorod. A senior source in the Ukrainian armed forces confirmed the successful use of British drones. In response, Moscow may intensify its hybrid campaign, including espionage and cyberattacks against the United Kingdom. Official London has not yet confirmed the full list of transferred systems.
