Two Suspects Arrested on Suspicion of Assaulting Female Soldiers on Patrol in Area C

Two residents from al-Rashayida were arrested on suspicion of assaulting two female soldiers and a tour guide with clubs and stones in Area C, near Ma'ale Amos. The soldiers were on leave. One sustained an injury to her hand. The investigation is ongoing.

Two residents, approximately 20 years old, from al-Rashayida were arrested overnight (between Saturday and Sunday) on suspicion of assaulting two female soldiers who were hiking in Area C with a tour guide. The soldiers, who were on leave, went on a tour on private Palestinian land near the settlement of Ma'ale Amos in eastern Gush Etzion. During the tour, the soldiers and the guide were attacked by four Palestinians with clubs and stones. One of the soldiers sustained an injury to her hand. The suspects were transferred for questioning at the Etzion station, and the police will consider bringing them before a court. Operations to locate and arrest the remaining suspects are ongoing.
