The girl's mother recounted the incident last week in an interview on the program "In the Middle of the Day" on Kan News. The mother described that her daughter met the suspect boys over the weekend through a mutual friend, and that the family had even been in direct contact with them prior to the event. According to her, on Saturday afternoon, the suspects called the girl to a return meeting in the building shelter—a meeting she said was pre-planned, with mattresses placed there. "They just attacked her brutally under knife threats," the mother recounted. "They broke chairs on her, hit her, beat her, and raped her horribly." The incident ended when a passing civilian caused the suspects to flee. The mother expressed concern that the boys had harmed other girls in the past and praised her daughter's resourcefulness in providing a detailed testimony to investigators.
