Turpaz CEO donates NIS 70 million to three of Israel’s leading hospitals

Turpaz Industries CEO Karen Cohen Khazon and her family donated company shares worth approximately NIS 70 million to Sheba, Rabin-Beilinson, and Soroka medical centers. Sheba inaugurated its Institute for Obstetric and Gynecologic Imaging in memory of her parents during a ceremony. The donation supports cardiac care at Beilinson and recovery at Soroka after Operation Rising Lion damage.

Turpaz Industries CEO and controlling shareholder Karen Cohen Khazon, together with her husband Shay Khazon, donated company shares worth approximately NIS 70 million to three major Israeli hospitals: Sheba Medical Center, Rabin Medical Center-Beilinson Hospital, and Soroka Medical Center. The donation, announced in July 2025, consisted of 1% of Turpaz Industries shares from the couple's personal holdings. During a ceremony at Sheba, the hospital inaugurated its Institute for Obstetric and Gynecologic Imaging in memory of Cohen Khazon's late parents, Nediva (Gisèle) and Moshe (Musa) Cohen. The event included formal remarks and a ribbon-cutting, attended by Sheba director-general Prof. Yitshak Kreiss. Similar ceremonies were held earlier at Soroka and Beilinson. At Beilinson, the donation is designated for developing the Cardiology Center in the Hope Tower and expanding the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. At Soroka, the funds will restore and upgrade infrastructure damaged during Operation Rising Lion, reinforcing critical departments and purchasing equipment for emergency and trauma units. Cohen Khazon dedicated the contribution to her parents, saying they instilled in her the values of generosity, humility, and civic responsibility. She described the donation as translating business success into positive social impact. Turpaz Industries operates in flavor, fragrance, and specialty ingredients, employing over 1,100 people with 28 acquisitions since 2017.
