Following violent incidents at the Yamit 2000 water park in Holon, the Holon Municipality decided that this coming weekend, entry to the park will be allowed only to city residents and their families. Residents will enjoy a 50% discount on the ticket price, while soldiers in regular service, career personnel, and reservists residing in Holon will pay 40 shekels per ticket. In the official announcement, the municipality stated that the discount is conditional on presenting an ID card and its attached slip, and that a child from age two requires a ticket. The decision was made after a series of violent incidents at the park in recent days. On Sunday, a brawl broke out between mothers who came to spend time at the park, just a day after another violent brawl. According to reports, the incident began as a verbal argument that escalated into a physical fight in front of visitors. An eyewitness said that those involved left their young children aside. The day before, the park was closed following a violent brawl, in which 12 suspects were arrested and two security guards were lightly injured.
