Trump: "All mines in Hormuz have been removed, any ship that lays new ones will be destroyed"

Trump noted that the US is monitoring every square meter of the strait through the Space Force, alongside nuclear sites that have already been destroyed. Meanwhile, an Iranian source denied that the Pakistani chief of staff carried a threatening message from Tehran.

US President Donald Trump announced this afternoon (Tuesday) that he has received an update that all mines placed in the international waters of the Strait of Hormuz have been removed and/or detonated. According to him, Iran has been notified that any ship or boat laying new mines will be destroyed immediately and systematically. Trump noted that through the Space Force, the US is monitoring every square meter of the strait, as it also does with Mount Pikax and the three other nuclear sites that have already been destroyed, and emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards mine-laying. These remarks come after Trump claimed for months that the strait is open for passage. Meanwhile, Iran's Tasnim agency, affiliated with the regime, quoted a source close to the negotiating team, saying that Pakistani Chief of Staff Asim Munir, who arrived yesterday for a short visit to Tehran, did not carry a threatening message from the US, but rather sought to open negotiation channels and convey Iran's conditions.
