At the launch of the 'Bayit Tzioni – Reservists' party campaign, chairman Chili Tropper announced that the party will demand the appointment of Yoaz Hendel as Minister of National Security. Hendel called for mandatory service for every citizen, criticized the government's policy on draft evasion and governance, and stated his intention to accept the ministry.
At the launch of the party's campaign, the chairman of 'Bayit Tzioni – Reservists', Chili Tropper, announced that the party will demand that in the Zionist government to be formed, the National Security portfolio be placed in the hands of Yoaz Hendel. Tropper said that after years of promises on the issue of governance, it is time to appoint someone who focuses on work and execution, and quoted: 'It's time for someone who comes to work, not to be photographed.' He addressed soldiers, reservists, and young people from religious Zionism, saying: 'We are the home of the soldiers.' Hendel criticized the government's priorities, saying that its last action should have been transferring hundreds of millions of shekels to those who fought and were wounded, but instead, a transfer to institutions that he claims encourage draft evasion was rejected by the High Court. He called for mandatory service for every citizen, and attacked the government for simultaneously supporting enlistment and draft evasion, and for transferring aid trucks to Hamas. Hendel stated his intention to accept the National Security Ministry, saying: 'This is our eighth front, and we are losing it.' The party will work to restore governance in the Negev, the Galilee, and everywhere the state has relinquished its responsibility.
