Tragedy on Bat Yam Beach: 25-Year-Old Man Drowns to Death
A 25-year-old man drowned to death this morning at Jerusalem Beach in Bat Yam. MDA teams called to the scene pronounced his death after he was pulled from the water without a pulse and not breathing. A 25-year-old man drowned to death this morning (Friday) at Jerusalem Beach in Bat Yam. At 6:24 a.m., a report was received at MDA's 101 dispatch center in the Ayalon region about a man pulled from the water. MDA paramedic and medics Roy Ben Yatach, Mai Bozgalo, and Eran Karmel, who were called to the scene, said: "We saw the man unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing after being pulled from the water. We performed medical checks, but unfortunately, we had no choice but to pronounce his death." The incident joins a series of similar cases at Israel's beaches recently. Two days ago, a body was reported washed ashore near Zikhron Ya'akov, and earlier this year, the body of a man in his 70s was found among the rocks at Jaffa Port. In the Jaffa case, MDA paramedic Sarah Cohen and medic Roy Levantar described how they rescued the man from the water and pronounced his death. The current case highlights the dangers of swimming in the sea and the importance of caution at beaches.
